We are experts in acting on behalf of occupiers of commercial property and in obtaining reductions in the business rates that are charged.

The opportunity to appeal a rating assessment can occur when the Local Authority publishes a revaluation list (every five years).  Other circumstances in which an appeal may be appropriate include: reassessment following redevelopment or change of use; temporary inability to use a property, or a permanent change in a location.

Our commercial rates services include:

• Assessment and valuation in connection with Valuation Office listing.
• Submission of appeals and correspondence to the Valuation Office.
• Negotiations with the Valuation Office and if necessary referring appeals to tribunal.
• Recording agreements.
