The Knight Frank Ireland Professional Services Department represents a significant
part of our business activity in Ireland. This specialised department provides expert
advice across the full range of professional services and acts as ongoing advisors
to many financial institutions, major corporations, retail multiples, and academic
bodies.
Headed by chartered surveyor and arbitrator David Freeman, the department has extensive
experience in all aspects of property valuation. Annually we value over €1 billion
of commercial property across all asset classes for various purposes, including
secured lending, probate, asset valuation and liquidation, on behalf of such clients
as Allied Irish Bank, Bank Of Ireland, KBC Bank, National Irish Bank and Ulster
Bank.
The department’s team of chartered surveyors also undertake rent reviews, lease
renewals and acquisitions for landlords and tenants in both the Republic and Northern
Ireland. Its client portfolio includes major multiples such as Paddy Power, Crown
Paints, UTC, Pioneer Investments and State bodies such as FÁS, IDA Ireland and Teagasc.
David Freeman FRICS FSCS FIAVI FCI Arb, who has over 40 years experience in the
valuation of commercial property nationwide, is also an acting arbitrator and an
acknowledged expert in Landlord & Tenant and Ground Rent legislation.
The department is also renowned for its specialist expertise in the oil companies
sector. David Freeman has been Chevron Ireland Limited’s (T/A Texaco) sole property
advisor for many years and he has also acted for Emo Oil and Esso in relation to
certain shared facilities.
